After a lot of soul-searching and many discussions with friends and family, I have given it a lot of thought and I am going back to school, yay! I have a very intense education and scientific background in plant-based nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell. I find it hard to talk to people about nutrition because people don't want to hear me talk about rats being fed casein and how it promotes cancer, they want to know how to eat better to prevent disease in the body and/or to heal the body. This is where I know I lack the skills and confidence to properly help someone with their goals. So many times I have been asked about other diets and I'm clueless what they are all, how can I defend my position if I have no background on what the other person is talking about, how do I help someone with their diet if I'm not familiar with it? So, I have thought about it a lot and I thought about how I want my future to look like, how my ultimate desire is to help people and give back to a community that helped me when I was sick. With little to no full programs to support my educational wishes. I've set myself up a plan and I'm going to follow through with. The first stop on this adventure (note I said 1st stop there will be 3 more important elements so stay tuned) is me attending The Institute of Integrative Nutrition: I cannot wait to start, I already have 3 clients. I need 3 more to graduate so spread the word free health coaching. I start next Monday and I'm super excited. Wish me luck and I'll keep you posted on everything I learn that might interest you all.
